Densetsu's layouts! It's not a complete history since I don't have Nanashi's designs. Gomen, I didn't even know how to take screen captures back then. But here is the evolution of the Chihayan Densetsu, all the way back from 2001 to this year. Note to self: recurring color scheme—blue and beige; average frequency: 2.3 per year. Interesting...

1: Starlit Den

index fan fiction 2001 This is the first layout I made for Densetsu. Did it in Nestcape Composer 4.0. The result was frightful, but I still totally love it. It's the nostalgia.

2: Medieval Sunrise

main contest 2001 Or 03? No idea. In any case, it records my discovery of gradients and the fact that not all computers have the same fonts, whoa!

3: Shinigami's Roses

main updates 2001 By this time, my brother nagged me into learning HTML so there is some newbie coding going on and—are you ready? A font change! Astounding!

4: Gundanium Gothic

main fan fiction 2002 Ah, my fancy über image-heavy design. The index looked great, but the rest of it? Not so much. And look at that note on the main page; talk about confidence! Though I really am careful about that stuff.

5: Zechsy Blue

main contest submit page updates original fiction 2003 Awww, my non- matching pretty; how I love it! Just look at this thing: it was like five different websites desperately pretending to be one. There's even a Gackt one, lol!

6: Neutrally Airy

Neutrally Airy 2003 My first unified layout! It turned out great: slick and confident, well organized, good margins, and the imagery rocks (can't go wrong with Gundams). I'm, like, impressed with myself over here. It was probably the Den's best layout.

7: Khaki Roses

Khaki Roses 2003 This thing, though beautiful, was so image heavy! The new elements here are brushes and Ozzies. :D

8: Pink Ojisama

Pink Ojisama 2003 I finally stuffed all the CSS into one file and switched to PHP. And used really big letters in place of brushes, which worked out great. The text was too faded though.

9: Blonde Koibito

Blonde Koibito 2003 Here, I experimented with outlines, brackets, Quatre, and Relena. The colors are nice and sandy, the textures turned out great too. It was pretty good.

10: Angel/Devil edition

Angel/Devil edition 2004 Mmmmm, a 2x4 lime and orange mix! I made it for the new year. It used the script that made little stars come out when you clicked on the background.

11: Steel Heero

Steel Heero 2004 I rushed on this layout: made the whole thing in just two days. It felt good to get it done so quick, but it could've used some fine tuning.

12: Black October

Black October 2004 Dark, puke-green text; a cyber theme lost in the making. It was sexy—damn sexy and a fine tribute to 1x2, but the green got to me after a while.

13: Matta Ne!

Matta Ne! 2005 This one gave me some grief. I took it down a few weeks after posting. It was the shortest layout lifespan Densetsu's ever witnessed. Though, ironically, I like it now.

14: Epilogue

Epilogue 2005 Featuring a pensive Heero rubbing his cheek in an ocean of pink. I got this pic a couple millennia ago, back in the good old days when GW doujinshi were around.

15: Rebirth

Rebirth 2007 A dark reawakening after a two year hiatus, accented by a somber Wufei and a sexy Heero at a computer and up-close, with his lips slightly parted. Yum!
