Duo ran to the repair place, and asked if Gundam Deathscythe was in working condition.
“Sure is,” said one of the repair people. “What ya need it fer?”
“A mission,” said Duo. He was part lying. The mission was to get away from Heero, nothing assigned.
Duo jumped in the cockpit, and shot out of the hangar.
“He’s running away!” Quatre said, slightly swaying. Trowa stood up and steadied Quatre, and sat him down on the couch. “I can’t believe it! My best friend! What is he runs into OZ territory?” Quatre put his head in his hands.
Suddenly Wufei stood up, and walked over to Heero, grabbing the collar of his shirt with surprising strength.
“I’m surprised you’re even brave enough to sit here with us and show your sorry face!” Wufei snarled at Heero. Heero didn’t respond. He just hung his head. Wufei thought this was odd, so he shoved Heero back on the chair, and said, “Heero. I don’t know what the hell is going on in your mind, but whatever it is, you had better tell us now!”
Heero then responded.
His fist connected with Wufei’s face, and he spat, “You had better stay out of my business, because what’s going on in my head isn’t your issue, and never will be!” He then stormed up to his room.
Wufei backed up temporarily with shock. “You…” he began, but Quatre stood up and said, “Wufei, sit down. I can deal with this.”
Trowa looked worried. “Heero’s in a pretty bad mood now Quatre. You won’t want to talk to him. You might get hurt.” He said.
“I’ll take that chance,” Quatre said grimly, and ran up the stairs after Heero.
Heero sat on his bed in his room, feeling horrible. Wufei has no right to my thoughts, Heero fumed, no one does. But now Duo’s run away, and—and I think I miss him. It was even hard to admit to himself. He buried his head in his pillow. What am I gonna do?
Suddenly there was knock at the door. Heero sat up immediately.
“Go away,” he said monotonously.
“It’s Quatre,” said the voice behind the door, “Can I please come in?”
Heero couldn’t resist the plead.
“Fine, but make it quick.” He answered. The door opened and Quatre came in and sat next to Heero.
“I know you like Duo,” he said. Heero looked at him, taken aback.
“How?” he asked disbelievingly.
“I just can, and I think you should try to follow your heart, and follow him. I know you want him back. Go out and look for him.” Quatre said gently.
Heero looked at Quatre sadly for a moment, and then stood up.
“Where are you going?” Quatre asked Heero.
“To find Duo,” Heero answered, walking out the door.
“Heero,” Quatre said. Heero turned around and looked at Quatre.
“Yes?” he answered back.
Quatre tossed him a first-aid kit and he caught it. “Be careful, Heero,” said Quatre.
“I will.” Heero said determinedly.
