Quatre walked into the prison. He looked around the dimly lit room and the rows and rows of cells and shuddered violently. Quatre quickly walked to the cell he was looking for. Inside was a depressed Heero.
"Heero," Quatre called quietly so that he wouldn't startle him.
Heero quickly spun around to face Quatre. "Hello, Quatre."
"I got here as soon as I could. Why did you tell me not to contact Duo?"
Take a message to Mary but don't tell her where I am
Take a message to Mary but don't say I'm in a jam
You can tell her I had to see the world
Or tell her that my ship set sail
You can say she'd better not wait for me

"Please Quatre, don't tell him I'm in here, please. I don't really care what you tell Duo as long as you tell him not to wait for me," Heero murmured, holding back a sob that threatened to surface.
"Why would I not tell not tell him where you are?"
"If you tell him I'm in here, he'll wait for me. I want him to move on."

"On my latest mission I was able to track down the target and eliminate him. Unfortunately I accidentally killed a civilian to. I got the life sentence Quatre. If you tell Duo that I'm not coming back, he can move on. So you can tell him almost anything, but you can't tell him I'm in jail. He might do something foolish."
"Okay Heero, I'll do this for you."
"Thank you, Quatre. Will you please go. I need to think."
"Sure thing, Heero. I'll visit again soon. Good bye."

Quatre walks slowly away from the cell. Behind him he can here Heero mumbling Duo's name and muffled sobs. Quatre walks out the door and heads home.

Oh lord this cell is cold
Quatre quietly explains to Duo that Heero is not coming back.
Duo thanks Quatre and Quatre leaves. Duo walks into the kitchen.
"I'll love you till I die Hee-chan."
Duo picks up an object off the counter. A flash of metal, a splash of red and a soft thump as an object hit the cold hard floor.
