Six months after the battle with Marimeia all of the Gundam Pilots except for Quatre Raberba Winner disappeared. Quatre refused to comment on the war or the other pilots. Quite a few people searched for the pilots but they couldn't be found. One month after the war Quatre took a vacation and left the business in his sisters' hands.
A teenage boy walked the streets of L3 looking around, as if searching for something. He had brown hair and hazel eyes. Slowly, he came to a halt at one of the store windows. Inside there were miniature models of the Gundams. A small laugh escaped his lips as he saw a picture of Quatre Raberba Winner.
"Well at least my training came in handy for something. I don't look anything like the 'famous' Quatre Winner," he thought happily, "No-one would ever think of me as a Gundam pilot." Quatre continued walking wondering how he would find Trowa in this place. It was huge! Everywhere he looked there were more people, and not all of them looked very friendly. If it weren't for the fact that he was a Gundam pilot he would be scared by most of these people.
Lost in his thoughts he ran straight into a large man. Quatre fell to the ground with a soft thump. Quatre, being the polite person he was, immediately was apologizing.
"I'm so sorry sir! Are you okay?" Quatre asked concerned.
"Watch where you are going!" The man yelled. Quatre saw the man's fist twitch. Quatre brought up his hand just in time to intercept the punch that was aimed for his face. The man growled, spun around, and walked away. Quatre rolled his hazel eyes and flipped onto his feet, only to almost collide with another person. A young woman with blonde hair and brown eyes stared at him. She smiled in a motherly way and tilted her head to the right slightly. Her soft soprano voice was filled with compassion, "What's your name child?"
"Dwayne," Quatre hated lying to this kind woman, "My name is Dwayne." She nodded, "My name is Aidan, where are you from?"
"The L4 cluster," he smiled slightly.
"Then what are you doing on L3?"
"I don't really have any place to go ma'am and I'm looking for a friend." Aidan grabbed Quatre's hand, "You can stay with me as long as you like, I run a shelter. We always accept new people, as long as they are friendly." Quatre nodded, it was the best place to start his search for Trowa. Aidan smiled and dragged him along the streets of the colony. She weaved in and out of the crowd expertly. They stopped in front of a building.
"Dwayne, will you be okay? Just go explore, if you need any help ask one of the people here. They will be glad to help. I'll be assigning you a roommate. I just have to see who needs a roommate. I'll tell you at dinner, okay?" Aidan asked.
"That's fine, thank you Aidan."
"No prob." Quatre walked around the house and yard aimlessly. He made a mental note to donate some money to this place. The garden was beautiful, flowers were everywhere, brightening the yard. Assorted fruit trees were in bloom and giving off a soft aroma. He smiled at the warm feeling of this place and sat down. He lost himself in a daydream. BING! An hour later a loud noise jerked Quatre away from his daydream. Slowly he pushed himself to his feet and followed the people scrambling into the house. He arrived at what seemed to be a dinning room and sat down. Soon everyone was served and they began eating. Everyone was talking, the voices blurred together and he couldn't hear a single voice. Aidan walked up to Quatre and leaned close so he could hear her.
"Your roommate's name is Chase. You are in room 34. See you tomorrow."
After dinner Quatre walked to his room, luckily it wasn't very hard to find. He knocked softly on the door.
"Come in." Quatre opened the door hesitantly and smiled at the teen about his age. "Hello my name is Dwayne, I'm your new roommate." He looked the boy over. He had black hair that was wild and blue eyes that gave a startling look. "My name is Chase, it's a pleasure." Quatre shrugged and got ready for bed. He climbed in and flicked off the light except one small light that was supposed to say on in case of emergencies. Later on in the night a slight rustling noise woke Quatre up. He opened his eyes slightly, and watched Chase get out of bed. A soft growl came from Chase. He ran his hand through his hair and Chase's hair went into a unibang. Quatre had to bite his lip to keep from gasping. Chase lifted his hand to his eyes and popped out the contacts. Emerald green eyes now replaced the blue ones. Unable to repress it any longer Quatre gasped. Chase stiffened and looked at Quatre. He cursed softly under his breath.
"Are you Trowa Barton?" Quatre asked. Chase lunged at Quatre and dragged him down the hall to Aidan's room. He threw open the door and turned on the light. Aidan sat up and blinked wearily.
"What is it?" She asked.
"Dwayne figured out who I am!" Chase, now revealed to be Trowa, answered.
"Dwayne?" Quatre asked before he caught himself.
"You don't know your own name?!" Trowa asked. Quatre grimaced at his mistake, "Tro-chan, stop yelling please." Trowa narrowed his eyes. "Don't call me Tro-chan!"
"Turn it down, please, it's late! You never used to yell before."
"Before?"
"You never really talked." Trowa blinked, "What does he mean by before?" He thought. Quatre frowned, "Then again you used to call me angel and you never really dragged me anywhere except for that one time..." That's when it clicked, "Quatre?" Trowa asked. Quatre nodded, and to prove it he took out his own contacts to reveal his aquamarine eyes. Trowa smiled.
"Did I hurt you Quatre?"
"No, it takes more than being dragged down a hall to hurt a Gundam pilot."
