Duo whirled around face to face with Heero, “What do you mean we’re stuck!?” He reached over and started shaking Heero. “We can’t be stuck! They can’t leave us up here! We’re at the very top! This isn’t funny!”
“Duo! Relax, it’s probably just an electrical thing” he pushed Duo off him. “They’ll probably have it fixed in about fifteen minutes and we’ll be on our way again in no time.” 45 min later…
“We’ll be on our way in no time huh?” Duo said in a smart-alecky tone.
“Shut-up Duo. So I was wrong, it’s not my fault we’re stuck up here.”
Duo started thumping his head against the window. He whispered curse words under his breath.
“Stop it, you’re making the booth shake.”
“Don’t tell me what to do” Duo stuck his tongue out at Heero.
“I’ll tell you to do whatever I want to.”
“Shut-up”
“You shut-up. And stop banging your head on the window!” Heero glared at Duo.
“Fine, sheez” Duo continued to grumble.
*POP POP POP* Three darts hit a set of balloons on the wall.
“Yay Trowa!” Quatre cheerfully clapped his hands. “You won. I told you that Good Luck Charm I bought you at the shrine would work.”
“And you were right little one. Here this is for you” Trowa handed the giant teddy bear he just won to Quatre.
“Thanks Trowa! Oh it’s so cute.” The bear was a pale fuchsia, with yellow paws and belly, and it had bright green eyes. “It has the same beautiful eyes as you Trowa. Uhng.” Just then another young man collided with Quatre.
“Hey, why don’t you watch where you’re going?” Trowa said bitterly while he steadied his angel.
“Gomen, but the Ferris Wheel is broken. Everyone is going to go check it out.” The boy then turned and ran off.
“Trowa, Duo and Heero are on the Ferris Wheel. C’mon lets go!” Quatre grabbed Trowa’s wrist and they ran off.
“Quatre I can’t run in this outfit! I’m gonna trip over the pant legs.”
“Trowa we don’t have time for you to complain, we have to find out about Duo and Heero.”
“Dude it’s getting hot in here,” Duo said trying to fan himself with his hand.
“No kidding, I’m burning up. Maybe this will help.” Heero untied the belt of his pants and took his top off.
Duo glanced over at Heero, his face turned a bright red. He made sort of squeak sound and held at his nose. ‘Oh god, why did he have to take his shirt off? This is too good to be true! But now I’m acting like an idiot. He’s so hot! But I have to control myself…’
“You okay?” “I’m I’m fine. It’s okay really. Just the uh stress.”
“Hnm” Heero just shrugged his shoulders. ‘Whoever thought I would get stuck on the Ferris Wheel with Duo? I mean sure I paid for six rounds so I could be alone with him for awhile, but stranded for a few hours? This is good and bad. Sure it’s good that I’m stuck in this booth
with the cutest guy I’ve ever met, but it’s bad cause I might lose control of myself…’
The two boys turned to look at the other, but when one saw the other looking at him, he turned back to look out the window.
‘This is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me!’ both thought at the same time.
Quatre and Trowa arrived a the Ferris Wheel where they saw a large crowd gathering around it. Trowa spotted the group of girls they had encountered earlier and pointed them out to Quatre. The taller girl also saw them, she turned blue, pointed, and squealed. Rika looked in their direction then herded her group to another location. Quatre laughed and Trowa shook his head.
“Do you suppose they’re still on?” Quatre asked looking up.
“I would think so, I mean I think we would have met up with them by now if they weren’t.”
“Why don’t we just ask?” A familiar voice suggested from behind them.
The two turned around to see Wufei still arm ‘n arm with his new girlfriend. She was holding a balloon and a small stuffed rabbit. Wufei had bought them for her.
“Lets go ask the guy if he remembers seeing them get off.”
“Are your friends on the ride Wufei?” Jenny asked.
“Yeah, we think they are.”
“We have to go make sure they’re okay!” she rushed off dragging Wufei behind her. Quatre an Trowa followed close behind.
“Excuse me sir, two of our friends are on this ride. We were wondering if maybe you saw then get off, or if they’re stuck on the ride?” Quatre asked.
“I might, whud they look like?” the large man grunted.
“One of them was about this tall, um he had a long braid…” Quatre tried his best to list characteristics of Duo.
“Oh ya! I remember that guy. Longest hair I ever saw on a boy. Them twos is
still stuck this ride.”
“Which booth?” Wufei asked.
“They got on the green one.”
“That one is at the very top!” Quatre shouted.
“Boy I sure feel sorry for thems two. They gotta be frying in this noon sun
up there.”
“It’s so hot I can barely breath,” Duo said.
Heero wiped the sweat off his forehead, “It’s like an oven in here.”
“How long has it been? Since we stopped?”
“About an hour ‘n a half.”
“I can’t stand this! It’s too hot!” Duo yelled. He untied the belt and pulled off his shirt. “Whew that’s better.”
Heero glanced at Duo and, well he had the same reaction Duo did when Heero took off his shirt. (can u tell i’m running out of material?)
“What’s wrong Heero?” “Nothing really”
“Heero why did you give the enough money to send us around so many times?”
“Why did you want me to ride with you on the Ferris Wheel?”
Duo started to blush. Heero inched closer to him.
“It’s cause you like me isn’t it Duo? And that’s why you almost got a nosebleed when I took my shirt off right?”
Duo blushed even more and looked away.
“But you know what? I like you too. I’m mad about you Duo.”
Duo’s face returned to it’s normal color and he turned to look at Heero. He was surprised to see Heero blushing also.
“Really? You like me?”
“You’re a cute one, cutest I’ve ever seen.”
“Well if you’re willing to admit it, then I’ll admit that I’m crazy about you too.”
“How much?” Heero asked getting closer and closer to Duo.
“I think you’re hot. Like girls say ‘You’re a total babe’”.
“That’s good enough for me,” Heero said.
He put his hands on Duo’s face and gave him a kiss. Duo was in paradise, this was what he wanted. He met Heero’s kiss with equal passion.
“How long have you waited for this?” Heero asked untying Duo’s braid.
“Too long,” Duo answered stroking Heero’s chest.
3 hours after the Ferris Wheel broke down…
“There all fixed. Start her up Hank!” a repair said as he closed the control box.
The large man pushed a button and the Ferris Wheel started to turn. One by one each person got off the ride. Then Heero and Duo’s booth came around. Quatre rushed up to them once the door had been opened.
“Are you guys ok?” Quatre asked in an extremely concerned tone.
Trowa came up behind him, “Whoa.” There on the floor of the booth was Heero and Duo. Duo’s hair was down and spread out everywhere.
“You guys aren’t doing anything bad are you?” Trowa asked, he wanted to make sure the two didn’t get out of hand.
“No, we’re still dressed. Or we still have our pants on anyway,” Duo said. He was looking up at Trowa upside down.
“We’ll join up with ya’ll later,” Heero said as he handed the man $10.
The door was closed and the Ferris Wheel started around again.
“See Trowa I told you they would fall in love, just like in the movies.”
“Yes little one, you were right.” Trowa smiled and patted Quatre on the head.
