As they all sat in the waiting room, each passing the time as he chose, they all were nervous. "What if she doesn't pull through? How will we finish the war without her?" Constantly rang through each pilots mind. "She knows more about OZ than we do...we need her." Wufie thought "I need her." He looked again at the clock...nervously waiting the doctors report.
As the doctors hurriedly stitched and patched her up...they each still questioned how this hellish act came about. Each nurse checked her IV's and vitality signs repeatedly. "She's pretty steady." The doctor commented. "She should make it." The nurses all sighed in relief.
"She should be fine...she's resting now. There was no severe wounds, and no serious internal damage. It's unbelievable how she survived that and is still conscious." The doctor commented to Quatre. "Yea, yea, can we see her now?" Duo asked, slightly impatient. "Yes, follow me." The doctor lead them down the corridor. As they entered her room, Nurses were still checking her vitality signs and hurriedly checking her wounds, re-cleaning them. "Oh, Lila." Duo said as he sat besides her, taking her hand in his. She squeezed it slightly and opened her eyes. "Yes Duo?" She smiled weakly. He had to keep from hugging her too tightly. "Duo, I'm alright, just sore." She assured him, Heero smiled at his koi. "Duo, get off of her." Heero said, as he walked over, then he did the unexpected: he kissed her forehead. Wufie appeared a little jealous as they all hugged her, sometimes planting a kiss or two on her bruised forehead, and walked over. "Wufie..." She smiled "Yes Lila?" "Come here." He leaned down "Closer." He leaned down close enough that their faces were almost touching. Then she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him into a deep kiss. When she pulled back, he was stunned, and it showed. "I love you too, Fei." She smiled. Duo's jaw hit the floor. Heero appeared a little shocked. Trowa and Quatre stood in an embrace, they saw the developing love, but it took her getting hurt to prove it. "At last, they finally admit it." Quatre said to Trowa. "After a month of waiting." He said to the little blonde. "Wait, you guys knew about this?" Duo asked, a bit stunned as they nodded. "Why didn't you tell us?" "You would've ruined it." They smiled and left Wufie and her alone. "How come I didn't see it?" Duo muttered as he closed the door.
