Lucky for Duo, Lila was a heavy sleeper. He found it impossible to pry Lila's hand from his shirt, so he had to wriggle out of it. "Heavy sleeper?" Jason asked from the kitchen table. "Yep. Who's cooking?" "Melody." Duo kept looking over his shoulder. Jason gave in to curiosity "What's up?" "As soon as I see smoke I'm running." Duo whispered. "Hey! I heard that!" Melody yelled, tossing an oven mitt at Duo. "Smoke alarm go off yet?" Lila asked, sleepily as she sat at the table. "Hey!" Another oven mitt flew out, and right over Lila's head. "Oh, I forgot, you remove the batteries first." Lila giggled. "I'm running out of things to throw, so shut up!" Melody called out angrily. "Ok, ok, chill" Lila said, seeing the poised frying-pan. "This ain't a cartoon." Jason and Duo sighed and resumed talking about their wrestling show. "God help me." Lila muttered. "They're just steroid pumped men in tights that can act real good...big deal." She said, flippantly. She glanced up to see the death-glares from both men. "Ooh, I'm scared. I'm going to run to my baby sister for protection." Lila giggled and walked into the kitchen. "Now what?" Melody asked, arranging eggs and toast on plates. "Running from the macho-death-glare twins." Lila said, sarcastically. "Talking about wrestling?" "Oh yea." They both cringed as they heard their hooting and hollering at the T.V. Melody started snickering then Lila burst out laughing. "Oh god, what would we do with out comedy like that?" Lila asked as she helped her carry the trays out for them to eat. As they where mid-way through their meal, Wufie and Heero came down the stairs. Lila stood up and walked around past them up the stairs.
Melody tapped lightly on the door. "Come in." Lila said from within. "Lila..." Melody trailed off to see Lila dressed in her black and blue dragon bikini. "What? I can't swim in the pool out back?" Lila asked, as she braided her hair. "Not without me!" Melody said, starting to rummage through her sisters bathing suits. Lila rolled her eyes and clasp a gold necklace around her neck, the gold heart completed her look. She scooped up her radio and towel and left Melody to her own devices.
"Why'd you leave me?" Melody accused as she came poolside in Lila's red-rose bikini. "I wasn't waiting 15 more minutes for you." "Oh thanks!" Melody said, swatting her towel at Lila. "Do you mind, you're in my sun." Is the only response Melody got. Wufie peered out the window. "Jealous?" Duo asked, adjusting his trunks as he walked through the hall. Wufie just glared at the happy American. "Lila!' Melody shrieked as Duo canon-balled in the pool. Wufie frowned at the happy trio. "I guess I am jealous, and sorry." He muttered as he saw Lila jump Duo with her lawn chair. Wufie retreated to his room to ponder his regrets.
