As they arrived at the airport, Lila smirked, remembering how her baby sister always ranted about the blond boy. If he even looked at her with his glittering blue eyes, she'd nearly faint. Now they were in love, it sounded wonderful. Sadly all that she and Wufie had was lust. "There he is!" Melody cried, pointing to the smiling boy. "Hey babe, didja miss me?" He asked before she glomped him. Lila laughed and tried to help Jason pry Melody off of him. "Now get into the car or we'll leave you two here." Duo said as Lila got back into the car. "Ok, damn, pushy." Melody smirked as she helped Jason with his bags.
As they drove up to the house, Lila saw Wufie and Heero standing at the door, she shuddered and whispered to Duo as her sister and Jason got out. "Please Duo, can we go for a drive or something? I don't want to deal with him yet." He looked into her brown eyes, he knew she didn't need to hear his ranting, not now. "Oh, ok." He smiled, she immediately hugged him. "Melody, Quatre will show you two to your room. I'll be back in an hour. OK?" "Ok big sis." Melody winked. Lila blushed but waved to her as they pulled out of the driveway. "Bye sis!" she shouted as they sped off.
As they drove to a place Duo knew of, Lila's deathly silence startled him, this was so unlike her. He tried to cheer her up, then he got an idea. he smiled at this idea and turned on his CD player, he knew her favorite song would cheer her up..."My Sacrifice" She turned and looked at him, it looked like she wanted to cry. "Oh Duo..." She smiled as they pulled on the edge of the highway. It was sunset, and the cliff overlooking the sea magnified their sense of need. The music rang from his speakers as they sat on the black hood. "Duo..." She said, leaning closer, as he did. Just as the sun set, they were caught in a passionate kiss. She cried, she never felt so happy. He was gentle, true and tender, not rough like Wufie. She knew it was love this time. As she pulled back for air, he saw the tears on her face, and gently wiped them away. "Duo..." He put his finger to her lips and shook his head. He wanted to enjoy the silence of the moment. "Is it love this time?" She asked as he looked out to the sea. "What does your heart tell you?" He asked, turning his glittering amethyst eyes to her. She closed her eyes for a second "Mine says it knows this is love, this time." She smiled as the wind blew through her loose hair. They sat together for a while, then got back into his car and drove back. She put her hand on his as they parked, seeing the two still waited. "Where were you?" Wufie asked. "I'd like to ask you the same." She spat angrily and walked past him, Duo closely followed. Melody and Jason were eating the pizza they had ordered and greeted them as they came into the kitchen. "Have fun?" Melody asked, munching away. "I think your little plot may become reality, baby sis." Lila said, taking Duo's hand. "I know, that's why I suggested it." She smiled. "You...you...evil genius." Lila said, hugging her sister. "I know, who taught me?" She smiled and took Jason's hand. Lila smirked as she went up stairs, hearing the curses from Wufie as he ranted at Duo for being gone so long with "his girl". Then Heero's asking what they did. "How does it feel, not to know?" Lila asked, turning to them. They blushed, and she turned, leaving them in silence.
