In the dark of the night,
Blood fills the sky,
Terrified & full of fright,
I flee & let out a scared cry.
But amongst the dark clouds of their fight,
A figure stands tall and sturdy,
I rush to seek shelter with him in a hurry.
I reach his side and all is calm,
But all around us storms rage,
I look up into his eyes & he's like a hero,
From the midevil days.
He looks at me full of love,
I look to the sky,
I know he's a gift from above,
I want to cry.
I do, and he's startled by my tears,
I'm sheading the weight of the world,
I'm melting away the wasted years.
He wipes my face,
And tilts my head for a kiss,
I feel my heart race,
Ad I dive into the wonderful abyss.
Angels with broken wings never fly again,
But with his loving arms around me,
I can soar higher than I've ever been,
And with his love, I'm happier than I'll ever be.
