The Chibi Files

Prologue

Disclaimer: I do not own Gundam Wing. Though I really wish that I did. Hey, I can dream can’t I? Well anyway don’t even bother suing me. Because it won’t be worth your time and effort. I don’t have any money anyway. ^-^;;

Warning: This fic has some OOC and much Chibiness. It also is non-yoai. I’m not really sure of what else though. ^-^;;

Once upon a time there was a young boy, about four years of age. He was a very friendly and happy boy who lived with his mother, his father, and his 29 older sisters on the L4 Colony. His father, being a very wealthy owner of a resource satellite owned a very large estate and was well known throughout the colonies and earth. And though the young boy could have anything he wanted at all he was happy with the simpler things and was never thought by anyone as being stuck up or too good any person. He had blue eyes, blond hair and a very sweet personality. He liked living on the Colony very much. But he was also incredibly lonely, for there weren’t many boys his age to play with.

He had a very large bedroom and just about every toy a boy his age would ever want and more. But at the same time he still longed for someone to share his things with or someone to play with at least. And even though he had 29 older sisters, it still didn’t really help him too much.

One day his father announced to the family at the dinner table that they would he was needed down on earth and that they were to be moving down there at once. So after dinner the family packed up their bags and began on their way down to the earth. For Quatre Reberba Winner, this was great. Maybe now he could make some friends.

On another colony, not too far from L4 a traveling circus was beginning to bring down the tents, for tonight’s performance was the last (for a while anyway). The performers loaded up their equipment and possessions as they prepared to go to earth. They were especially looking forward to going to earth because they knew that they were only going there for some well deserved R&R.

A young boy, however, sat down in the corner alone as he looked down at the straw that he sat on. He was a bit of a loner and very quiet. And maybe a bit of what some would call as shy. He was four and a half years old, but already had a bit of a career of traveling with the circus. Though maybe not entirely by choice. The only family he has left was his older sister, Catherine. And they were in the same act. The young boy would almost begin to cry sometimes as he would look out into the stars. But he would hold back the tears when he felt them coming to his dark green eyes.

Traveling with the circus, he had found out, was a very lonely profession, but he was far too young to do anything else. And besides he did have his sister with him, which made him feel a little better. He liked it when she would hold him in her arms and he could feel the warmth of her body against his. It made the traveling and all that seem to be not that bad.

Suddenly a loud sound goes off signaling that everyone should packed and ready to go. And at that Trowa Barton stood up and headed towards his sister and his ride to earth. Maybe now he could get some rest and maybe meet a friend or two.

On yet another colony, the L1, which wasn’t too far from the earth itself a young boy, four years old, sat in the quietness of a small dark room. He was a very quiet boy with wild hair and a glare that could kill. He lived on the Colony with Dr. J. and his favorite gun. That was all he knew. You can’t miss what you’ve never had. The boy enjoyed the silence but would have rather been on a mission. Lately things have been pretty slow for him, and he couldn’t understand why. He was a very kind and thoughtful person, who was strong of body and of mind, that is until Dr. J. took over the part of training him and turned him into the emotionless cold blooded killer he is today.

Life on L1 was ok. And though he didn’t understand it himself, he would find himself gazing out at the earth, longing to be there. Not that it attracted him or anything. But he was just kind of bored with the slow down of the incoming missions.

One day Dr. J. came up to the young boy and told him that he was to be going down to earth. The boy was happy to hear this but his emotionless ways hid this very well. So after Dr. J. left he began to quickly and efficiently packing his bags. For Heero Yuy going down to earth was just another mission.

At around the same time on the L5 colony, a young boy was training. He wanted to be the best in his martial arts class. He knew once he mastered that he would be going on, so he likes to keep his options open. He was only four years old but at the top of the class. (A class that consisted of 20 year old men.) He worked very hard and was very dedicated. He was also taught at a very young age that women are weak. Which would stick with him for the rest of his life. He refused to fight women or anyone that that he considered weaker than him. He didn’t really have much family around him. But he liked it that way. He can be a bit of a loner and he likes his personal space.

During the day he could be found training and at night either sleeping or meditating. He especially hates it when he’s disturbed while meditating.

Anyway, one day the master came and said that they would be moving down to earth for a while so they could train there. It would be a nice change for them to be able to see how things are on earth and such. Wufei Chang looked forward to this and saw it as an opportunity to train somewhere else or have a change of scenery for once.

As all this was going on a young boy, on the L2 colony smiled as he stood on a corner. He was what most would call a street rat, but had a little bit of a different story behind him even though he was only four. He lived with Solo and was a very happy-go-lucky type of boy. And was happy the majority of the time, but a plague was spreading through the colony like a wildfire. This plague was actually a disease, and most of the people of the colony were getting it. Nearly all of them that contracted it through any means were slowly killed. Solo, being one of them. It was tough enough on the young boy that he didn’t have any family, but now the only person he knew and had became close to was dying. And there wasn’t anything he could do about it. He felt so helpless.

The young boy had very long hair that he liked to tie back in a braid. And though he’s not sure of how all of this happened he somehow remained untouched by the disease even though it was affecting everyone else around him. There was a cure, however, but it was definitely not going to be wasted on some poor kids on the streets. Or that’s what the people with some money thought.

One night Duo lay awake by Solo’s side. Solo by that time he was dying and there was nothing that could be done. Duo felt so helpless just sitting there and watching his friend fade away. And Solo died. The young boy was now on his own, when suddenly a figure emerged out of nowhere. Turning the young boy’s outfit into that of a long, black robe with many crosses and a hood. And in his hand appeared a scythe. For now, Duo Maxwell knew his purpose in life. It was to be Shinigami, God of Death. He didn’t exactly understand it all, but he tried his best. Why him? Of all the people on the colony why was he chosen for such an unwanted job? He thought about that, but no answer could seem to come to mind. Now the only thing that was left to do was to find a way to get to earth.

Well that’s the end of my prologue. I may continue and I may not. It all depends. ^.~ So if you have any questions, comments or you just plain don’t like it e-mail me at Duo_Maxwell[ AT ]Juno.com. I’d love to hear from you!
