War has taken its toll on five young soldiers. Each expresses himself in his own way. Five different souls entwined into one by the effects of war. A young dark blue eyed boy sits alone in the dark staring out into the stars. His friends see him as an unemotional, unexpressive soul. His training as “The Perfect Soldier” led him to be that way around others. But when alone he lets his feelings show ever so slightly. He is so young and he has killed so many. A single tear falls from his emotionless eyes. A young violet eyed youth wanders through a cemetery. His violet eyes which are usually filled with happiness and joy are now filled with sorrow and pain. He hides his true emotions behind a mask of laughter and lightheartedness, when deep down the war has broken his spirit long before. The violet eyes boy can no longer sleep without nightmares of those he killed haunting his dreams. The youth stares into the sky and silently he weeps for the families of those he had killed.
A young green eyed man lays on his bed and stares blankly at the ceiling. Silent and hidden is his type. All of his true emotions are hidden by his silence. Every time he kills another part of him breaks, and the part can never be replaced. In his sleep and even in his waking moments he can hear the screams of those he killed. The youth shudders as the sounds flood his mind. The tears begin to well in his eyes, but he refuses to cry.
Alone in his room a young blue eyed blond sits on the edge of his bed, unable to sleep. His dreams are that of death and destruction, all of which he has caused. He apologizes to his enemies before he kills them, but it still brings no comfort. The youth slowly gets up from his bed and walks to the window. He stares into the night, and begins to sob uncontrollably. Slowly he cries himself to sleep and soon the nightmares begin again. A young onyx eyed man wanders through the house, also unable to sleep. He fights believing that justice must be served. To people that know him he seems stubborn and pig headed, but the reality of war has struck him hard and only caused his emotions to be more mixed up. His onyx eyes are now filled with pain and suffering. Silently he lets the tears fall.
Five young teenage boys brought into a war. Each one very different, yet they all feel the pain and suffering caused by war. Children that’s what they are…only children. They are so young and they’ve killed so many.
