She breathed slowly as she tightened the strap that held the sheathed knife on her thigh. She looked in the mirror and watched her blacksuit shift, the collar went up and stopped beneath her chin.
“Ai,are you ready?” Hera asked as she looked in the room.
“Yeah.” She said quietly.
“Jitters, huh?” Hera smiled as she walked into the room and closed the door.
“Sorta.” She muttered.
“Trev downloaded the blueprints into Q for you so you don’t have to listen to my lecturing…I know that you know what to do…we’ve done this a million times and in worse situations so just relax and think it’s a practise.” Hera sat on the bed and watched as Ai picked a small throwing knife off of the bed and tucked it safely in a sheath and on a loop on her belt.
“I’m bringing only knives because we have to do this without getting seen and I’m gonna be in the dark…so I’m gonna do some shadow creeping.” Ai said as she put a knife in her boot.
“Your specialty…” Hera smiled.
“Yeah.” Ai muttered. “Done.”
“Alright then.” Hera said as she stood and escorted Ai towards the door and to the hangar.
Ai stood and looked up at her gundam. The other pilots were at the table in the back of the room. The two girls walked towards the group.
“You ready Ai?” Junior asked as he elbowed her in the side.
“Yes, and…” She elbowed him in the stomach. “How many times must I tell you to stop hitting me you piece of…”
“Ai, this mission isn’t going to wait while you start up another fight…so get going.” Trevor grumbled as he pointed to her Gundam.
“I’ll finish this later.” She growled as she turned and walked towards her gundam. Wufei stepped in front of her. He looked up at the gundam and then turned to face her.
“You never told me its name.” He said.
“Qinglang.” She muttered as she sidestepped him and stopped at the foot of the gundam. She looked over her shoulder at him. “It means…”
“Holy Dragon…” Wufei smiled at her. “Good name.”
“Yes, my father gave it that name.” She said as she began to climb to her cockpit. She looked over to see Quatren quickly scale up her Gundam and the cockpit closed. Her visor came down over her face as she sat down in the cockpit. “Quatren, what the hell do you think you’re doing?” She muttered.
“Just in case you’re caught, I’m going to cover it up and make it look like a terrorist attack.” Quatren smiled.
“Just keep out of my way.” She grumbled.
Quatren’s face went red. “You are my best friend and if anything should happen to you, well…who the hell am I going to complain to when Trevor is being a jerk! C’mon Ai, I’m going, any way’s there is no stopping me.” She smiled sweetly.
Ai smiled slightly. “That’s the Winner’s gentle persistence for you…” she heard Hera grumble.
“Are you in on this!” Ai yelled. She saw Hera cringe.
“YOU DON”T HAVE TO YELL!! THE MIC IS BUILT INTO MY HEAD BAKA!” She screeched. Ai’s head rattled almost causing her to rip the speaker out of her ear. “And yes, I am. Someone’s gotta look after your stupid ass!” She added calmly.
Ai switched the suit on and the plugs found their place. She stepped forwards and her gundam signalled an obscene signal to the girl, the girl returned it and then in a flash both gundam’s where in the air and flying towards the base.
“You. Stay.” Ai ordered as the two gundams touched down in the clearing of the dense forests. She opened the cockpit and looked around. “Right Quatren?” She said to confirm that the blond wasn’t going to do anything stupid.
“Yeah, yeah…but afterwards the base is toast.” She said simply.
“Fine with me.” Ai muttered as she ran through the dark forests. She hopped easily over the 7 foot chain linked fence. She landed catlike and then sprinted across the parade square and into the large building that Heero had told her to go in. She ran quickly to the end of the hall and looked up at the camera. She smiled. “You can’t see me.” She whispered as she touched the transmitter scrambler. It would make it seem like the halls were bare. She walked quickly to the door at the end of the hall and tested the door. She opened it quietly and stepped in. She looked around for the computer. She walked to the desk and turned it on. The computer screen flashed. She heard talking and the door opened. She hid in the shadows of the room, but the shadows dissolved in the light. The soldier didn’t realise that she was in the room. He looked around the room and then walked out, turning the lights off and shutting the door. Ai breathed a sigh and slumped against the wall. “Too close…” She muttered as she pulled out a wired and hooked herself up to the computer. She searched for the proper documents and then down loaded them in 15 seconds.
After it was done she ran down the hall, she ran blindly across the corner and slammed into someone. She jumped back and took a knife from her boot and looked up in time to see who it was.
“General Kushrenada.” She muttered.
“05.” He said as he looked her. He frowned at her. “You’re not him.” He muttered.
“Glad you noticed.” She grumbled then she brought the knife up to strike it left her hand at a blinding speed and twinkled in the light of the hall. It struck him in the shoulder.
“W-Who are you?” He asked as he pulled the knife out of his shoulder and dropped it on the ground.
“None of your damned business.” She growled as she ran forwards. He dodged her easily by sidestepping her. She turned and looked at the man, he stepped forwards and held the knife to her throat. There were voices at the end of the hall.
“Shut up.” He grumbled in her ear as he dragged her into a room and shut the door. He let go of her and turned on the light. He looked at the girl. “Why didn’t you kill me?” He asked as he took off his jacket and looked at the jagged wound in his shoulder.
“Because I’m on specific orders not to.” She shrugged. “Why didn’t you kill me?” She asked.
“Because, I don’t feel like it.” He shrugged. “Why are you here?”
“Because I got orders to.” She shrugged as she opened the door and looked down the hall. She felt a hand grab her shoulder and pull her back in. “What the hell are you doing?” She grumbled as she pulled a knife out of her glove and held it to his neck.
“One more question and I’ll let you go.” He promised.
“For some strange reason, I trust you. What?” She said quickly as she looked over her shoulder, she put the knife back in its place in her glove.
“How’s Wufei?” He asked quietly, concern washed across his handsome face.
“He’s fine, why?” She asked.
“I was just wondering.” He said quickly as he turned to look out the window at the moon that was rising in the sky.
“O…that’s right.” She snapped her fingers. “Dad was saying…” He looked over at her, she turned red and her eyes dropped to the floor.
“Don’t you have places you’ve got to go?” He asked.
“Yes, but…” She glanced at the door. Now’s the chance to see this man who my father loved… “Get out of the base.” She muttered then ran out the door and down the hall. She was back at her gundam in minutes. She got to her cockpit and looked at Quatren.
“Can we go know?” She asked excitedly.
“Yeah.” Ai nodded as the Gundam shot forwards, through the forests. They went up and hovered over the base. “Just be careful.” She said as Quatren cut her boosters and fell to earth. She landed on one building and there was a loud explosion. Ai dropped down and let out a missile that found its way to another building to Quatren’s right. She brought out her dragon tooth and slashed the mobile suits as they came out of the hangar.
“Hey leave some to me!” Quatren yelled as she flew besides Ai. She shot her web cannon and it wrapped around four suits. She sucked the energy out of the and dropped them then flew into the air and dropped down on them, they exploded under her and she flew through the air and barely landed up right. “Damn that was close!” She huffed as Ai shot three of them with her arm cannon.
“Lets get outta here.” Ai said as she shot up into the air. She pointed her laser down towards the base and it gathered its energy until the whole gundam was shaking, then she let the power go and there was a blinding flash and the base was charred remains. “There.” She said happily as she flew after the quickly retreating Arachne.
“Who are they?” Dr. J asked as he looked at the photos of the gundams that had recently attacked the OZ base.
“Don’t know…” Howard shrugged.
“That’s not important, what is is that we have to know if these gundams are on our side.” Professor G said as he looked gravely around the table where the other scientists were sitting.
“Are they even gundams? They have very similar qualities of shenlong and sandrock. Are there others? Who are the makers? Who in gods name are the pilots. If you look at their fighting qualities, they are nothing like the 05 and 03. They are reckless and it seems that this was just fun to them. We better pray that they are not our enemies or we have no chance what so ever in winning this war.” Instructor H said as he looked at the charred ruins of the giant base. “How many mobile suits did they destroy alone?” He asked.
“Not including the last blast…aaa…” Howard shuffled his papers around in front of him. “79. Killing 40 pilots and seriously injuring 19.” He read off the paper.
“I’ll get 01 on this right away.” Doctor J said as he tapped his robotic finger on the wooden, worn table.
“Right. So lets leave and get this over with.” Howard shrugged again as he stood and straightened out his obnoxiously loud Hawaiian shirt.
“HA!” Heero yelled as he pointed to the computer screen. Duo and the others in the room jumped and looked over at the Usually quiet pilot.
“What?” Duo asked as he walked over and leaned over Heero’s shoulder. “Dammit.” He growled as he tugged out his wallet and slapped a five dollar bill in Heero’s hand.
“What?” Hera asked as she looked up at the two boys.
“He’s gotta investigate the pilots and the gundam that attacked the base in Gagetown.” Duo chuckled.
“Oh…Good luck, those guys are slippery.” Quatren smiled from the chair she and Trevor were sitting in.
Hera padded over and looked at the computer screen. “Damn, what’d you guys do?” She chuckled as she looked at the charred remains of the base.
“I powered up my cannon.” Ai shrugged as she shifted herself to grab the mug of coffee off the table.
Hera chuckled. “For how long?” She asked as Heero scrolled down and showed an aerial picture that seemed to be a mile long.
“Oooh a couple of seconds.” Ai said as she blew on her coffee and took a sip.
“Sure…the gundam was shaking like crazy and it was starting to creak from the strain, she had to hold the gun in place to get a decent shot.” Quatren laughed.
“Maybe a little longer.” Ai smiled as she set the cup back down.
“What are you going to do Hee-chan?” Quatren asked cheerfully.
Heero glanced at the blond, unaccustomed to being called that by someone else besides Duo. “I’ll just take pics and explain who you guys are. Besides, you’ll be gone soon, ne?” He shrugged.
“Sure, oh yeah, there our kids Doc. No big. They’ll be going back to the future in a week or so.” Hera said sarcastically.
Heero glanced at his daughter looking thoroughly annoyed. “Well, what do you suggest I do about it.” He asked.
Hera shrugged. “Just say what I said. Jeeze! Just loosen up otoosan! I was just saying that to see what it would sound like.” She giggled.
“Don’t call me that.” He grumbled as he turned and started typing quickly.
Hera yawned and looked around the room. “Where’s Junior?” She asked.
“He’s arguing with Wufei on the plan.” Ai said as she flipped her hand.
“They’re still arguing!” Hera said as she rolled her eyes. “I told them what we’re doing so why are they bothering.” She shrugged as she walked into the kitchen and saw the two glaring at each other. “Will you guys give it up! God, I told you what we’re doing and there is no arguing.” She grumbled as she took the hologram off of the table and turned it off.
“Fine.” Junior shrugged as he stood and walked out of the kitchen. She watched him leave and then turned to Wufei.
“What was that about?” She asked
“Hn…” He grumbled as he stood up and wandered passed her.
She walked up the stairs and up to her bedroom. Junior was laying on the bed with his hands folded behind his head and his eyes where closed. She sighed and sat on the bed and looked at the boy. His braid was hanging off of the bed. “Junior.” She said mischeiviously as she ran a hand under his shirt. His eyes flew open and he looked at her.
“What?” he grumbled.
“You’re pouting…it looks cute on you.” She smiled as she rested her hand on his flat stomach.
“Really?” He said as he pulled her closer to him by the waste line of her pants. “Want to know the other thing that looks good on me?” He asked
“Well, besides nothing, I’m curious.” She giggled as she leaned down and kissed his lips.
“You’ll find out in a minute if you keep this up.” He said huskily as he returned the kiss.
Her green and blue eyes glittered as she lifted her head and looked into his eyes. “Curiosity killed the cat.” She said as she straddled his thighs. She bent down and kissed him longer.
He broke off and whispered in her ear. “But satisfaction won her back.”
She laughed. “Ooo, that was a good one.” She purred as she yanked at his top and with a loud rip it came off in shreds.
There was a knock at the door. “Don’t come in!” They both yelled as they scrambled to get up and Junior recovered the shredded t-shirt.
“What?” Hera asked angrily as she threw the door open. It was Heero.
“It’s Relena. Down stairs. Hide me.” He said as he looked down the hall. His face was turning white.
Hera laughed as she stepped pass him. “Hide in there.” She said as she pointed to the bedroom. “C’mon Junior.” She said as she walked down the hall. Hera and Junior walked down the stairs and into the living room. Hera laughed as she saw Relena sitting in the living room.
“Hera. What are you doing here?” She asked.
Hera shrugged. “Oh, just visiting relatives.” She said.
Junior choked his laughter back.
“Oh.” She said as she glanced at Junior. “Where’s my Heero?” She asked.
Junior’s laughter could hardly be contained, his face was turning red.
“Your Heero…right…he’s hiding…from you” Hera said wryly as she elbowed Junior in the stomach.
Relena smiled “He wants me to find him.” She said happily.
“Ah. No. Actually he’s hiding from you because he doesn’t want to see you.” Junior frowned at her like she was an insect on his boot.
Relena seemed to have ignored his remark and got up and started to search the room pitifully-lifting up cushions and looking under the coffee table. “Could you get any denser…” Hera muttered As she turned and walked out of the room. She ran up stairs and met Quatren on the way. “Come with me. I have an idea.” Hera said as she grabbed a hold of her wrist and dragged her into the room.
Heero was sitting on the bed staring out the window. Hera threw Quatren on the bed. “When Relena comes, kiss.” She grumbled as she poked her head out of the door.
“WHAT! I have boyfriend.” Quatren shrieked. “Why don’t you do it!”
“Shut up! And eww, he’s my father. If you want to get rid of her, then do as I say! And no pecking. On the bed and make it hot, the stupid cow’s gotta get it through her thick skull…since I can’t kill her yet…” She grumbled as she slammed the door, leaving the two of them staring at each other.
“This is stupid.” Quatren said under her breath as she slid over besides Heero and stood in front of him.
“hn…” He grunted he looked up at the scowling blond beauty.
“Oh-my-god! You are looking forward to this!” She scowled at him. “I can’t believe this!”
She heard Hera’s voice “Yeah, I saw him come in here.”
She squeaked as Heero’s arms wrapped around her waist and she fell on top of him, their lips touched and immediately they got into it. Tongues, arms and legs. He flipped her over on her back and kissed her slowly down her neck.
“Hee-chan…?” Relena whispered as he saw her on top of the squirming blond. He looked up and smiled and then went back to kissing her.
“Oh dear…” Hera said as she turned Relena out of the room to leave them alone. Hera looked at Relena, who’s eyes were starting to tear.
“Hee-chan!” She cried as she ran down the stairs and out to her awaiting pink Cadillac. Hera gave a satisfactorily smile and opened the door. The two were still at it, but Quatren’s shirt was above her head and Heero was missing his top that was at the foot of the bed.
